Baby Chicks

Perhaps a project for this afternoon  footprints.  Super cute yellow foot prints that look like baby chicks.  Or maybe ducks.  We'll probably have a rainbow of birds because some people are unable to paint with only one color.

Bento Lunch

So we don't very often have an excuse to pack a lunch, but this woman offers amazing inspiration on bento style lunches.  So often bento lunches are fancy cut foods and all kinds of time consuming sillines.  3 Kid Circus offers real food, real lunches and real life.  Now I need boxes.  Because every project requires a short trip to the store!

pillow case refashion

I would like to make this pillowcase tote.  Years ago I made a pillowcase skirt and still love it.  How fun to make a bag to carry around too.  Because I need another bag.  Not.

fun with food

Perhaps one day when I don't have a crying baby on one hip and a toddler complaining about whatever food I'm prepping hanging off one leg I'll start playing with my food.

This website offers plenty of fun and cute inspiration.

Let's see if this is working today

The last time I tried to post, only my pictures seemed to be showing up.  Let's see if I can post a story and link today.
Found these super cute chick footprints today.  Hopefully we will be making some tomorrow.

chalk placemat

Found this placemat.  It has chalkboard fabric on one side and cotton on the other side.  There is a string to hold it in a rolled position for storage and a little bag to hold the chalk.  Probably a good idea in theory, a messy idea in real life.  And, yeah, I would be ripping off this company if I made one on my own...

Bookshelves

I just found this brilliant way to display books facing outward here.  They use rain gutters as book shelves.  I love it!

To Do List

This week I made a To Do List.  I printed the list from here.  I took a plain picture frame and covered it with white tissue paper then a printed tissue paper, using Elmer's glue to hold it on.  Mod Podge would probably work better, but since I've never bothered to invest in any, I used regular glue.  I waited for it to dry (kind of,) put the glass back in and then the print.  Big Lots conviently had 2 vis-a-vis markers for $0.50 so I picked up on those so I would have something to write my list with.  The original idea was from eighteen25.

Celery Roses

Look at how amazingly cool this is!!!!!!  http://maureencracknellhandmade.blogspot.com/2011/01/is-it-february-yet.html.  We have to buy celery TODAY!!!!!

Sorry I can't paste a picture in here....She's has all rights reserved.  Silly lady.  Like somebody would steal her ideas....

Popcorn and fonts

I just realized how annoying that font is I chose to use.  Hang with me while I try to improve upon that.

I found a recipe for Jello popcorn on my favorite cooking site ourbestbites.com.
I whipped it up this afternoon using raspberry jello.  I thought it was tasty and so did the kid.  The husband didn't care for it to much, but that's okay.  More for me :)

Sugar Cookies

I'm going to try this recip for sugar cookies next week.  http://munchkinmunchies.blogspot.com/2009/05/no-fail-sugar-cookies.html

These don't require refrigeration prior to cutting out and I love that!  Less planning ahead for me :)  I have one recipe similar to this, but I'm going to branch out.  I'll let you know how they turn out!

Now I'm getting the hang of it!

Whew!  The first link worked for me!!  Here's the second project I made this week.  These heart hand warmers are for the kids.  They are filled with flax seed so they are nice and soft.  The original idea is from here:  http://maureencracknellhandmade.blogspot.com/2011/02/warm-hearts.html

My First Link

Here goes my first attempt at linking another site to my own.  I made this super cute photo heart garland this week.  The original idea came from here:  http://eighteen25.blogspot.com/2011/01/photo-strip-hearts.html.  Like most of my projects, this one seemed simple at the beginning and then turned into more and more work!  I had the photos printed at Kinko's.

First post!

Hello!  Welcome to the world of Molly Blogging!  I've never done this sort of thing before, so do bear with me.  And I'm not a writer, so even more power to you if you can keep up!  This blog will be dedicated to my favorite crafts and foods that I find on other blogs.  I was finding it difficult to keep all the great finds organized, so I'm hoping this will help me.  I'm currently on a highly inspired track of crafting right now.  I'm hoping that by having all kinds of crafts lined up in front of me in one easy place to access, that I will continue to be inspired.  Perhaps you'll be inspired as well.  Of course, I will post my pictures of my finished crafts and hope you will share your's as well.  Please feel free to drop me a line about your favorite websites!
